Apoideas Limited are a Cambridge based design consultancy that provides hardware, software and analytical engineering services for wireless M2M (machine-2-machine) communications solutions and applications. From studies & advice, to proof of concept prototypes or fully approved and ready to manufacture terminal devices and application software, Apoideas provide bespoke engineering services through to end-to-end wireless sensing solutions for our customers. Core competencies include wireless communications, digital signal processing, electrical design, web based applications, software development and product approvals.

In addition, Apoideas have developed a Low Energy Cellular (LEC) platform that uses the existing GSM network and has substantial advantages for wireless sensing & control applications where power supply, battery life, ease of installation, time to market and or operation in an exposed environment are an issue - including gas & water metering, infrastructure & environmental monitoring, asset tracking and perimeter security. The LEC platform is an end-to-end telemetry solution consisting of the terminal device (the "Bee") at one end and the Apoideas server gateway (the "Hive") at the other.
